Anonymous Donor Match for Hogar del Pobre Lenten Almsgiving

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our Lenten Almsgiving Projects at All Saints Catholic Academy.   We are excited to announce that an anonymous donor has contacted us, and will donate dollar for dollar up to $1,000, all donations that we receive on Wednesday, March 21 for Hogar del Pobre orphanage.   

During Lent, we are asked to focus more intently on "almsgiving," which means donating money or goods to the poor and performing other acts of charity.  The act of almsgiving is simply a response by us to God, a response that we have come to through prayer and fasting. It is an expression of our gratitude for all that God has given us, and a realization that in the Body of Christ, it is never just "me and God." We come to a deeper understanding that the needs of all are the responsibility of all in the Body of Christ. 

If you would like to contribute and help us to meet our goal of donating monies to the orphanage AND receiving the matching funds of $1,000, please send in your donation in an envelope marked 'Hogar del Pobre donation' tomorrow, Wednesday, March 21.   If sending a check, please make it out to Hogar del Pobre.  Any donation, no matter how large or small, will be greatly appreciated.
