I was observing in a junior high religion class a few weeks ago, and the teacher used a video from Matthew Kelly. She found it on a website called BEST LENT EVER. I am now a subscriber J. Yesterday, they had a quote that has me thinking. I also had to merge that with the wonderful in-service the staff and I attended on Friday. It was offered by the University of Notre Dame, and focused on appreciating our differences and weaving a full fabric of community in a social, educational, and prayerful way. I feel like this is one of the pathways to a generous heart that we are seeking this Lent. The quote by St Pope John Paul II was: “Prayer gives us strength for great ideals, for keeping up our faith, charity, purity, generosity; prayer gives us strength to rise up from indifference and guilt, if we have had the misfortune to give in to temptation and weakness. Prayer gives us light by which to see and to judge from God’s perspective and from eternity. That is why you must not give up on praying!”

Under the Sea Scholastic Book Fair
It is time to journey under the sea and raise money for our school library. Our Spring Book Fair is scheduled March 16 - March 19 in McSherry Hall. Market Day, Wednesday, March 18th
Our next Market Day will be held Wednesday March 18th, with product pick-up from 2:30 - 3:30 in the gym (enter through Door 9).
Please note, this is the first Market Day order of the coming year for Family Fundraising. Whether you are a current school family, or a family totally new to All Saints for the 2015-2016 school year, you can start working on your 2015-2016 fundraising obligation now, and a great opportunity to earn FFO credits.
At least 10% of your pre-tax order will be credited to your annual Family Fundraising Commitment. Please note that Market Day and GFS purchases at local GFS stores are not a practical option for Family Fundraising purposes. You are encouraged to place your order at http://www.marketday.com and pay by credit card. Please note that the deadline for internet orders has been moved one day earlier, for this and future Market Days. This month's deadline is Friday, March 13th at 11:00 pm. DINNER DANCE AUCTION ANNIVERSARY BENEFIT
What a celebration we will have on March 14th! At this writing about 350 of us will be toasting the 10th Anniversary of All Saints Catholic Academy and this number may grow as responses continue to trickle in. Bishop Siegel, Bishop Imesch, Fr. Bill, Fr. Don, Fr. Dick, Fr. Paul, Fr. Dennis and Fr. Dof, as well as a significant number of teachers and staff, will all be in attendance. We are extremely excited for this opportunity to come together as a school community to enjoy and appreciate each other and acknowledge how meaningful All Saints has been and will continue to be to us and to our children!
It will be a wonderful night out for a wonderful cause! By bidding on new and interesting auction items and contributing to a Fund a Need focused on continuing the one-on-one technology initiative throughout the school, together we can make a difference for our children at the Benefit!
Please do not forget that the winner of a $5,000 Tuition Credit for the 2015-2016 school year will be drawn the night of the Anniversary Benefit. Have you purchased your raffle ticket yet? ASCA Spring Picture Day
Don’t forget, Spring Picture Day is scheduled this Monday, March 9th for all preschool through Grade 8 students. Preschool 3 year old students are invited to come to ASCA to be photographed on March 9. All students will be out of uniform and photographed by Lifetouch. There will be no preorders or retakes if you miss the day. A Picture Day Pose Selection Form is being sent home today with all students, and is also available at the school website.
Picture packages will be sent home with your student once ASCA has received them from Lifetouch. At the time you receive your photo package, you will have the option to do one of the following:
1. send the entire package back,
2. purchase selected sheets in the package, or
3. purchase the entire photo package.
ASCA Lenten Service Project – Hogar del Pobre
All throughout Lent, All Saints students and their families will support the Hogar del Pobre orphanage in Celaya, Mexico with prayer and a clothing collection. Thank you in advance for your generous contributions.
Please note that the orphanage is located in an area of Mexico where it gets very cold at night without heat. Warm clothing is their greatest need. Shoes, jackets, pajamas, socks and underwear are needed too. Even though we have assigned each grade level a size, you are welcome to bring in any size. Please click here to see the project flyer.

La oración nos da luz para ver y juzgar desde la perspectiva de Dios y de la eternidad. Por eso no hay que renunciar a la oración! "

ASCA Primavera Imagen
No se olvide, Día de la Primavera de imagen está programado este Lunes, 09 de marzo para todos preescolar hasta el grado 8 estudiantes. Preescolar 3 años se invita a los estudiantes de edad para venir a ASCA a fotografiar el 9 de marzo Todos los estudiantes estarán fuera de uniforme y fotografiado por Lifetouch. No habrá pre-ordenes o tomas si se vence el día. Un Día de la Foto Pose formulario de selección se está enviando a casa hoy con todos los estudiantes, y también está disponible en el sitio web de la escuela.

ASCA Proyecto de Servicio de Cuaresma - Hogar del Pobre
A lo largo de la Cuaresma, todos los estudiantes de los Santos y sus familias apoyarán el orfanato Hogar del Pobre en Celaya, México con la oración y una colección de ropa. Gracias de antemano por sus generosas contribuciones.
Tenga en cuenta que el orfanato está situado en una zona de México donde se pone muy frío en la noche sin calor. Ropa de abrigo es su mayor necesidad. Zapatos, chaquetas, pijamas, calcetines y ropa interior son necesarios también. A pesar de que hemos asignado a cada grado un tamaño, le invitamos a traer a cualquier tamaño.
