Pope Francis has made a lasting impression on America I believe. His words were powerful and widely reported. St Francis, the Pope’s namesake, said “Preach the Gospel, if necessary use words”. I feel that the Holy Father has lived this message this past week. We have seen how actions speak volumes as we watched.
Fall Book Fair Information
Our fall book fair is around the corner. All oldest and only children will be receiving an information sheet, Scholastic Flyer and Diary of a Wimpy Kid #10 pre-order form in their backpack today. Our book fair will be held from Tuesday, October 13 until Friday, October 16. Out of Uniform Day for Move Your Feet
Friday, October 16th is the 3rd annual Move Your Feet To Give A Child A Seat event sponsored by the Catholic Education Foundation (CEF). While we do not ask our students to go out and solicit, we do want to support this great Diocesan event. So….we will have an out of uniform day on Friday, October 16th. Students are asked to bring in $1 that day and wear their casual clothes (good judgement is still required – no short shorts, tube tops or spaghetti tops – no army boots or colored hair – no shredded clothes, etc. We remember we are still in God’s house).
FACTS Incidental Billing and Auto Pay Reminder
Last week’s Principal’s Newsletter (September 23) detailed the steps to take to add the Auto Pay feature to your Incidental Billing payments.
Remember that you will always have a minimum of 10 days after you are invoiced to inquire about a charge before it is automatically paid from your account. The best part is that you will not have to do anything else to make a payment once Auto Pay is in effect.
It is our goal to have all families on Auto Pay by this coming Friday, October 2, at which time we will be instituting a late charge of $25 for all incidental charges that are not paid in full by the invoice due date. The "What Now? What Next?" program to be held at St. Thomas the Apostle on October 5 at 7:30 is the first in a three part series to explore the physical, emotional and spiritual challenges of different phases of our lives.
News from All Saints Athletic Association
The Girls 8A volleyball team does it AGAIN! This past weekend the girls took 1st Place at the Ss Peter & Paul Trojan Classic. Congratulations 8A! A special shoutout goes to the Girls 7A team for taking 2nd place!
A round of applause to the following teams who celebrated wins this past weekend: Girls: 5A, 6A, 6B1, 6B2, 7B, 8A and 7th grade Boys. Keep it up Saints! Cross Country News!
Congratulations to Owen McGovern (6th) once again for taking 1st Place at last week’s meet held at Downers Grove Swim & Racquet Club. The Boys 6th grade team took 4th place overall. Big congratulations to all runners who had personal bests on this challenging course!
This week, our runners will be competing in the Suburban Parochial League Championship Meet. Come cheer our runners on to a speedy finish!

3-4:45 PM: 6th grade girls
5-6:15 PM: 8th grade boys
**NO TRYOUTS ARE REQUIRED FOR 5th and 8th GRADE GIRLS
Please be sure your athlete has a current physical on file with the school office prior to tryouts.
All Saints Football
The JV team was off this week but the varsity continued its winning ways. The team defeated St. Raphael this past weekend 32-0 at Commissioner's Park.
This coming weekend, the teams are on the road for a Saturday night tilt with St. Alphonsus at Lemont High School. The JV game starts at 6:00pm. The varsity will follow immediately thereafter. GO SAINTS!!

Nuestra feria del libro de otoño está a la vuelta. Todos los hijos mayores recibirán una hoja informativa que llevaran en su mochila el día de hoy, donde se encontrara; el volante de Scholastic y un formulario de pre-orden para el libro No. 10 de Wimpy Kid. Nuestra feria del libro se realizará del martes 13 de octubre hasta el viernes 16 de octubre. Un día sin Uniforme, para Move your feet…
Este viernes 16 de octubre es el tercer ano que se celebra “Mueve tus pies y dale un asiento a un niño”, evento patrocinado por la Fundación de Educación Católica (CEF). Aunque no pedimos a nuestros estudiantes a salir y solicitar, sí queremos apoyar este gran evento Diocesano. Así que vamos a tener un día sin uniforme el viernes 16 de octubre. Los estudiantes deben traer en $ 1.00 ese día y llevar su ropa casual (todavía se requiere buen juicio - no pantalones cortos, blusas de tubo o camisetas espaguetis - no botas militares o el pelo de color - NO ropa triturada, etc. Les recordamos que estamos todavía en la casa de Dios).
FACTS, facturación incidental y Recordatorio de pago automático
La semana pasada en el Boletín (23 de septiembre) de la directora se detallaron los pasos a seguir para agregar la función de pago automático de sus pagos de facturación en el fondo.
Recuerde que usted siempre tendrá un mínimo de 10 días después de que se facturará a preguntar acerca de un cargo antes de que se page automáticamente de su cuenta. La mejor parte es que usted no tendrá que hacer nada más que hacer un pago una vez que el pago automático está en vigor.
Nuestro objetivo es tener todas las familias en el pago automático por el próximo viernes 2 de octubre y en ese momento estaremos instituyendo un cargo por retraso de $ 25 para todos los gastos adicionales que no son pagados en su totalidad por la fecha de vencimiento de la factura. Elección pago automático se asegurará de que usted no incurre en la cuota de $ 25 por falta de pago. All Saints Fútbol
El equipo JV fue esta semana, pero el equipo varsity continuó sus triunfos. El equipo derrotó a San Rafael este fin de semana pasado con 32-0 en el Parque de del comisionado.
Este próximo fin de semana, los equipos están en camino para una noche con San Alfonso en Lemont High. El juego JV comienza a las 6:00 pm. El equipo varsity seguirá inmediatamente después. GO ALL SAINTS !!
