Fr. Paul started his homily this week by commenting that the young measure time from one holiday or event to another. The adults measure time by astonishment that we have so quickly gone through another month or year. This is so true!
John Burroughs said "How beautifully leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days.” At my age, this has special insight for me. I want the last 1/3 of my life to be full of the light and color that comes with my family, a solid faith and good friends. But the days still will seem to fly by I am afraid.
Drop off and Pick up
I am afraid that we have veteran parents who are not following the parking lot rules. Please do not drop-off or pick up at door 1. Unless you are walking students to door 7, you should use the car line. Never use the bus lane in the PM (this one is against the law….lots of laws are related to school buses. Please do not use the bus lane in the PM at all). Seriously, these rules are for the safety of YOUR child.
REMINDER
If you need a reminder to your child to take the bus, not take the bus, go to after care, go to chess, etc….. the best way is to put a note on their back pack. The next best is to email the teacher BEFORE 11am (so they can see it before the end of the day). If you call the office we will be simply putting a note in the teacher’s mailbox and they may not see it before the end of the day to remind the child. We can’t call into the classes and disturb the learning for these reminders. We truly appreciate your cooperation on this.
Fall Picture Day
Fall Picture Day is scheduled next week on Monday, September 14th for Pre K through Grade 8, and on Tuesday, September 15 for Preschool 3’s. Students will be in uniform for this picture, and all students will be photographed.
A form with information about the optional purchase of additional photos is being sent home with each student today. This form must be filled out with payment enclosed, and brought to school on or before Picture Day for additional photos to be purchased. Please note that all payments/checks need to be made to Lifetouch. Your picture day order will not be billed/paid via FACTS.
The Lifetouch order form must be presented to the photographer at the time a student is photographed for additional photo packages to be printed. Late order envelopes cannot be processed. Additional order forms will be available in the school office, as well as on the school website.
That Man Is You! at St. Elizabeth Seton
Year 4 of That Man Is You! begins this Saturday, September 12. The program takes place Saturday mornings, and tackles real issues facing real men. It looks at the leadership role that has been entrusted to men, and addresses the temptations and struggles that men face in a culture that attacks authentic manhood. Finally, it helps formulate a plan to help men overcome these obstacles. If you are have missed years 1, 2 or 3, it doesn’t matter. Many All Saints fathers from different parishes take part in That Man Is You! All are welcome; please join us!!!!!!! We start with a light breakfast at 6:30 am, followed by a video and small group discussion with a hard stop at 8 am. You will see and make many friends; and find that you look forward to this special time just for you each week. OPENING WEEKEND FOR VOLLEYBALL WAS A BIG HIT

CONGRATULATIONS to the 6th grade boys on their 1st place finish at the St. Irene meet held on Saturday. A special shout-out goes to Owen McGovern on his 1st place finish among 109 runners in the 6th grade boys group. Way to go Owen!
The next meet will be held this Saturday, September 12 at 9am at Lyons Township HS. Come cheer our runners on to a strong finish!
We had 12 students representing All Saints at the Labor Day Fling Mile / Rooster 5k. All runners did very well with top finishers in many age groups. Congratulations runners!

All Saints Football
This past weekend, the Varsity Gold Team defeated St. Peter & Paul 20-0. Both the JV and Varsity earned wins at Immaculate Conception. The JV won 29-0 and the Varsity won 24-6.
League games this coming weekend are on Saturday night, September 12 at St. Francis High School, where All Saints football teams will host St. Mary of Riverside. The JV game starts at 6:00 pm, with the Varsity game following immediately after the conclusion of the JV game. All are invited to cheer on our teams at a great venue under the lights!

Padre Pablo comenzó su sermón esta semana comentando que los jóvenes miden el tiempo de un día de fiesta o evento al otro. Mientras que los adultos miden el tiempo por el asombro que causa el que hemos llegado tan rápidamente a otro mes o año. Esto es tan cierto! Dejar y recoger a sus hijo
Me temo que los padres más veteranos en esta escuela no están siguiendo las reglas del estacionamiento. Por favor, no deje o recoja a sus hijos en la puerta 1 al menos que usted tenga la intención de acompañarlos hasta la puerta 7. De otra forma se debe utilizar la línea de los coches. Nunca use el carril de los autobuses por la tarde (esto es en de la ley muchas leyes están relacionadas con los autobuses escolares. Por favor, no use el carril de autobús en la tarde en lo absoluto). En serio, estas reglas son para mantener la seguridad de su hijo.
RECORDATORIO
Si usted necesita un recordatorio para que su hijo tome el autobús, no tomo el autobús, va a atención después de la escuela, va a ajedrez, etc .... la mejor manera es poner una nota en su mochila. La siguiente mejor alternativa es enviar un correo electrónico al profesor antes de las 11am (para que puedan verlo antes de que finalice el día). Si llama a la oficina, vamos a poner una nota en el buzón del profesor, y es posible que no lo vea antes de que finalice el día para recordarle al niño. No podemos interrumpir las clases y perturbar el aprendizaje para este tipo de recordatorios. Apreciamos sinceramente su colaboración en este asunto.
Fotos de Otoño
El día para tomar las fotos de otoño está programada para el lunes 14 de septiembre de la próxima semana. Esto para los grados de Pre K hasta el grado 8 y el martes 15 de septiembre para Preescolar. Los estudiantes estarán en uniforme para esta fotografía, y todos los estudiantes serán fotografiados.
Un formulario con información acerca de la compra opcional de fotos adicionales está siendo enviado a casa con cada estudiante. Este formulario debe ser llenado con el pago adjunto, y ser enviado a la escuela en o antes del Día de la Foto para fotos adicionales que decida comprar. Tenga en cuenta que todos los pagos / los cheques deben hacerse a Lifetouch. Las fotografías no serán cobradas / pagadas a través de FACTS.

El 4to año de ese hombre eres tú! comienza este sábado, 12 de septiembre. El programa se lleva a cabo los sábados por la mañana, y aborda problemas reales que enfrentan los hombres de verdad. Se ve en el papel de liderazgo que se ha confiado a los hombres, y se ocupa de las tentaciones y las luchas que los hombres enfrentan en una cultura que ataca la auténtica virilidad. Por último, ayuda a formular un plan para ayudar a los hombres a superar estos obstáculos. Si usted se ha perdido años 1, 2 o 3, no importa. Muchos padres de All Saints de diferentes parroquias participan en ese hombre eres tú! Todos son bienvenidos; ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡por favor únete a nosotros!!!!!!! All Saints Fútbol
Este fin de semana pasado, el Equipo de Oro Varsity derrotó a St. Peter & Paul 20-0. Tanto la JV y Varsity obtuvieron victorias en la Inmaculada Concepción. El JV ganó 29-0 y Varsity ganó 24-6.
Los juegos de la Liga este fin de semana son la noche del sábado 12 de septiembre en la preparatoria San Francisco, donde los equipos de fútbol de All Saints serán los anfitriones de Santa María de Riverside. El juego JV comienza a las 6:00 pm, con el juego del equipo universitario siguiente inmediatamente después de la conclusión del juego JV. Todos están invitados a animar a nuestros equipos en el estadio bajo las luces!
