Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades are self-contained classrooms.
- RELIGION - Call to Faith is a comprehensive religion program. Call to Faith provides a solid foundation of Scripture and Tradition, a rich diversity of prayer, and a developmental sequence of activities.
- READING - Houghton Mifflin Reading is a reading textbook program meets the needs of all learners in today’s diverse classrooms, with the latest scientifically based, explicit instruction. Powerful intervention resources combined with built-in assessment tools and a wealth of leveled literature make this program highly effective and it is an easily manageable program. Our Reading curriculum is supplemented by:
- Writing - Houghton Mifflin's "Write Source" is a research-based and effective resource to help K-12 students become better writers, thinkers, and learners, including the New Generation of the popular Write Source writing programs.
- Vocabulary – Sadlier Oxford Vocabulary and Spelling Workshop is a research based program designed to promote vocabulary acquisition with an instructional approach that is supported by reading research.
- Novel Studies
- SCIENCE – Foss Science is a discovery based program where students learn through hands on experience.
- SOCIAL STUDIES - Harcourt Horizons is a Social Studies program that provides relevant content, skills lessons, and reading and vocabulary support. Social Studies is enriched through the use of research projects.
- MATH – Everyday Math is a program with a problem solving approach which encourages students to use a variety of strategies when attacking a given problem and to explain those strategies.
- HUMANITIES – McDougal Littell is a rich social studies program which starts in the 5th grade with world geography. It uses a combination of primary sources, supporting technology, and historical fact. It is supported by relevant historical fiction and cultural literature.
