Today is Earth Day. Our 3
rd, 4th, and 5th graders will take time today to help pick up the trash on the grounds that have accumulated over the winter. SHPP (our School Home Parish Partnership group) has also donated two trees to be planted on the playground to eventually provide shade and beauty for the time that students enjoy their recess. We are very grateful for this and all the support that SHPP offers to the children of our school. Thank you to all of you for your direct and indirect support of all the work done by SHPP.
GODSPELL JR. – THIS WEEKEND
Godspell Jr. is a really great show full of music that stays with you, and a story line we all know. Our junior high students have been busy rehearsing and preparing this wonderful production, and we know you will enjoy it. So bring your family, and join us either this Friday, April 24 or Saturday, April 25 (both shows will be at 7 pm). It will be a true treat!
All are welcome, and if you did not buy your tickets in advance you may purchase them at the door for $10.00 per adult and $5.00 per child/seniors. Please come out and support the hard work of these Junior High students, and take this opportunity to introduce your child(ren) to musical theatre in a familiar setting, and broaden their appreciation of the arts. Just a reminder that we do not allow the wearing of tennis shoes until after May Crowning. The first day that the wearing of tennis shoes would be acceptable is Monday, May 4th. And remember - when we say “ok’” to tennis shoes it doesn’t open up the door for flip flops and sandals.
Sign-up Reminder - Grandparents Day - May 1st
A quick reminder that All Saints' Grandparents Day will be celebrated this year on the morning of Friday, May 1st. The day will begin with Registration at Door 1 and assembly in the gymnasium, and then move quickly into classroom visits, followed by our May Crowning and Living Rosary back in the gym.

2015-2016 School Year Fees and Forms for Current School Families
Tuition and Fees
All Saints Catholic Academy will be using FACTS to collect all tuition and student fees for the 2015-2016 school year. If you do not already have a FACTS account, please create your online account by going to https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3FG0M
ALL SCHOOL FAMILIES WILL NEED TO ESTABLISH A FACTS ACCOUNT BY THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 2015.
Tuition and fees will be loaded into all FACTS accounts, and accounts activated by Friday, May 1st,, at which time 2015-2016 fees (Instructional, Technology, SHPP and Graduation) will be billed. Families will have 10 days from the date that fees are billed to initiate and complete payment online.
An information sheet will be going home today with all oldest and only students that details the tuition and fee payment process.
Forms
Forms packets will be going home via backpack mail with oldest and only students on or before Wednesday, May 6. Families will have until Friday, May 15 to return their forms and to pay their billed fees online to earn a ‘Pick A Day Out of Uniform Pass” for the 2015-2016 school year.
Schoolbelles Uniform Fitting Day
Schoolbelles, ASCA’s official uniform company, will be at All Saints next Tuesday, April 28 from 3 – 5:30 pm to personally fit your student for their school uniform. This will be the only day that they will be here at the school, so please take advantage of this opportunity to try on and order all of the uniform items that you will need for the coming school year. A uniform brochure will be sent home with students this week.
Frozen Sing-a-Long! - For Charity on Friday, May 1st
Warm your heart! Come and see Frozen and sing-a-long to your favorite songs from the movie! When: Friday, May 1st from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Where: All Saints gym. Dress up as your favorite Frozen character and bring a comfortable blanket to spread out and sit on. The cost is $3/person, $10/family maximum - parents and grandparents welcome! All proceeds will go to the 8th Grade Legacy Project - U4Uganda - to raise money to help pay for school desks and other necessities for the children of Uganda. Bottled water and popcorn will be served and included in the ticket price. Don't let this opportunity go!!!!
Community Outreach
Friday is Arbor Day! SHPP has purchased two new beautiful trees to line our recess pad. We will celebrate the day by sharing with the students the important role trees play in our environment. Each student will also be coming home with seed packets to plant and watch grow. Look for the new trees as you drive through the drop-off/pick up line!
District 203 Busing
Please note that there will be no busing home from school on Friday May 1st. Please make alternate arrangements for your student’s transportation home on this day.

Teacher Appreciation Week
Our Teachers are Stars!
It’s getting close to the end of the school year. Every year at this time we honor and thank our teachers for their dedication to our children.
Teacher Appreciation Week will take place the week of May 4 - 8. This year, we are asking parents to support our efforts in two ways:

Gift cards for the teachers will be purchased with your contribution along with a letter listing the names of all contributors.A donation of $5 per child is suggested. Please send donations, payable to ASCA, to the office with "Teacher Appreciation" noted in the memo line by Friday, May 1st.If you have any questions, please contact mili_anand@hotmail.com. The Teacher Appreciation Week flyer is going home in hard copy this week, and is also available at the school website.
- On Monday, May 4th, please send your kids to school with a freshly picked or purchased flower.We will provide teachers with a 12” vase so they can create a bouquet for their classroom.
We have many other events planned for our teachers during this week, including a “Red Carpet VIP Luncheon” on Wednesday, May 6th, and a light breakfast on Friday, May 8th We are looking for volunteers to help make this week special for our teachers. 2015 G.L.O.W. 5k Run for Reading
The G.L.O.W. 5k Run for Reading will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015, and benefits the Jeanine Nicarico Memorial Fund for Literacy, which enhances literacy programs throughout District 203, District 204 and area private schools. Over the past few years, ASCA has received a generous amount of grants from this Fund! In the 2014-2015 school year, ASCA was awarded a grant of $2,000 for professional development, as well as to purchase sets of fiction and non-fiction books to use in guided reading groups. All Sports Registration for 2015-2016 Will Begin on Monday, May 4th
Parents: we will send a link and a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document out to all parents through this newsletter on April 29th. There will be another reminder sent out on Friday, May 1st.
Registration for ALL ASCA sports (Volleyball, Cross Country, Cheer, Basketball and Track & Field) will take place ONLINE between May 4th and May 15th. All families will have the option to pay an initial sports fee at registration(see * below), and then the balance will be due by July 14th. You can also pay all fees at once if you choose to. Payments can be made by credit card online or by check to the school office.
*Full volleyball fees will be due at registration because of the need to submit VB participant rosters by June 1st.

Hoy es el Día de la Tierra. Nuestra tercera, cuarta, y 5to grado tomarán tiempo hoy para ayudar a recoger la basura que se ha acumulado durante el invierno alrededor de nuestra escuela. Has que esos zapatos duren unas semanas más!
Sólo un recordatorio de que no permitimos el uso de zapatos tenis hasta después de la coronación de mayo. Eso significa que el primer día que se permite usar tenis seria el lunes 4 de mayo. Tenga en cuenta que cuando decimos "ok" a zapatos tenis, no se abre la puerta para el uso de chancletas y sandalias.
Recordatorio de registro - Día de los Abuelos - Viernes 01 de mayo
Un recordatorio rápido que este año All Saints celebrara El Día de los Abuelos la mañana del Viernes 01 de mayo. Matrícula y cuotas
All Saints Catholic Academy estará usando FACTS para recoger todos los pagos de matrícula, costos adicionales para el año escolar 2015-2016. Si aún no dispone de una cuenta de FACTS, cree su cuenta en línea en: https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/3FG0M.

Formas

Las familias tendrán hasta el viernes 15 de mayo para regresar sus formas completas y hacer sus pagos de reinscripción para poderse ganar un pase para escoger un día sin uniforme durante el ciclo escolar 2015-2016.

Schoolbelles, la compañía oficial que ASCA eligió para proveer uniformes a nuestros estudiantes estará en All Saints el próximos martes 28 de abril a partir de las 3 de la tarde y hasta las 5:30 pm para medirle personalmente a su hijo el uniforme escolar. Este será el único día que van a estar aquí en la escuela, así que por favor tome ventaja de esta oportunidad para probarse y solicita todas las prendas del uniforme que va a necesitar para el próximo año escolar. Este viernes es el día del árbol! SHPP ha adquirido dos árboles para plantarlos en la línea de nuestra plataforma de recreo. Semana de Agradecimiento para los Maestros(as)

Se acerca el final del año escolar. Cada año por estas fechas honramos y agradecemos a nuestros maestros por su dedicación a nuestros niños.
La semana de agradecimiento a los maestros se llevará a cabo la semana del 04 al 08 de mayo. Este año, estamos pidiendo a los padres para apoyar nuestros esfuerzos de dos maneras:
1. Tarjetas de regalo para los profesores serán adquiridos con su contribución, junto con una carta con los nombres de todos los contribuyentes. Se sugiere una donación de $5 por niño. Por favor envié sus donaciones a nombre de ASCA a nuestra oficina con la nota; "Agradecimiento a los Maestros", señalando la fecha del viernes 01 de mayo. 2015 G.L.O.W. 5k Run for Reading
El resplandor. 5k Run for Reading se celebrará el Sábado, 06 de junio 2015, y beneficia al Fondo Memorial Nicarico Jeanine para la Alfabetización, que mejora los programas de alfabetización a través del Distrito 203, Distrito 204 y las escuelas privadas de la zona. En los últimos años, ASCA ha recibido una generosa cantidad de subvenciones de este Fondo! En el año escolar 2014-2015, ASCA recibió una beca de $ 2,000 para el desarrollo profesional, así como para la compra de series de ficción y no ficción para utilizar en grupos de lectura guiada. Padres de familia: le enviaremos un enlace y un paquete de preguntas frecuentes (FAQ) a través de este boletín el 29 de abril. Se mandara otro recordatorio el viernes 01 de mayo.
La inscripción para todos los deportes de ASCA (Voleibol, Carreras, Porristas, Baloncesto y Atletismo) se llevarán a cabo por el internet entre el 04 al 15 de mayo. Todas las familias tendrán la opción de pagar una cuota inicial de deportes en el registro (ver * abajo), y luego el saldo se deberá pagar a mas tardar el 14 de julio. También puede pagar todas las cuotas a la vez si lo desea. Los pagos pueden realizarse con tarjeta de crédito en línea o por cheque a la oficina de la escuela.
* Los honorarios de voleibol deberán pagarse por completo al momento de la registración debido a la necesidad de presentar las listas de participantes VB para el 01 de junio.
